Paired mismatch and control responses are shown for pupil area and running speed. Trials are averaged within session and repeated sessions within mouse; mice are the population sampling unit. Population traces, paired mouse effects, and raw individual-mouse traces describe different levels of that hierarchy. Cohort, context, and event selections apply to both signals. Raw traces retain camera pixel-area or running-speed units and do not represent population-normalized effects.
